The World Health Organization https://www.who.int/ has published daily Covid-19 Situation Reports since Jan 21.
Here is the latest.
Italy is about 11 days ahead of the US on the infection curve.
Here’s some of what we’ve learned from other countries.
- Practice Social Distancing.
This is what we can all do as individuals and business leaders.
Remember that a carrier won’t display symptoms for days.
Follow the good leads and become a leader in your own business and community. - Business Leaders and Employees: Lead the effort to work from home, if possible.
If you are a business manager, identify information and support workers along with systems needed. - Take strong/drastic measures early to flatten the curve as early as possible.
Stay home, limit travel and social activities for the next 2-3 weeks.
As humans we think linearly, not exponentially.
We are currently doubling cases every 3 days, and that won’t slow until we do each do everything possible to limit exposures. - Older folks are more vulnerable with as high as a 15% mortality rate if contracted, rate overall is less than 4% if contracted.
- At a national level, quick response and test capability is key.
The economy, the supply chain, and the health care systems will require government interventions.
