WHY CHOOSE CONTINUOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT  SYSTEMS?

Over the past 25 years we observed the costs for all ISO and AS9100 certifications rising. The major sized companies easily absorbed these costs. Unfortunately for the companies under 150 employees, they have had to choose between keeping their certification and struggling financially or discontinue and be at risk of losing customers.

Continuous Process Improvement Systems, LLC (CPISys) was formed by Vicki (Victoria) Delaney and Jim Goodrich to provide a program that minimizes the cost impact as well as resource utilization for small manufacturing firms.

ISO CERTIFICATION COST REDUCTION PROGRAM

Our 30 Years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality Management System management and owning businesses led us to say “Enough with the rising ISO certification costs!”
This industry has totally gotten out of hand and is almost impossible for the small business owner to participate without a large impact on their bottom line.

Finally, there is one registrar that is doing whatever they can to reduce costs by using the “ASRP” method of audits. No more onsite audits. Everything is done via the internet and desktop share software that is readily accessible.

Our ISO 9001 Certification Cost Reduction Program includes liaison services with the registrar and management of your Quality Management System so that your employees have the time to do what they do best.

CONTINUOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

Services:

  • Performed online via video conference and desktop sharing.
  • Internal Audits once per year – Revise documents if required
  • Facilitate Management Review, prepare input data, record meeting minutes
  • Review and assist in determining annual objectives and performance indicators
  • Monthly nonconformance meeting – includes corrective actions and customer complaints
  • Interface with the registrar. Provide all required audit documentation and attend the remote audit.
Remote Certification Audits:

In February 2008 the Accreditation Bodies under the IAF were given permission to perform remote audits as long as the Advanced Surveillance and Recertification Procedures (ASRP) procedure was followed.

There is only one accredited registrar that I know of that has embraced this procedure, American Global Standards (AGS).

The cost savings is considerable:

  • No onsite auditors, unless the records produced during the remote audit indicate a problem.
  • No auditor travel costs.
  • No work time lost facilitating onsite audits.

The cost?

  • Initial or transfer audit – $500 document review and $975 annual audit fee = $1475 Total certification cost
  • Surveillance audits – $975 annually

Services:

  • Review current process documentation to identify any gaps.
  • Create simplified ISO management system documentation and record master spreadsheet.
  • Management overview and record keeping training
  • Provide continuous process improvement services
  • Review all records to verify compliance prior to sending information to Registrar.
  • Perform internal audit and facilitate management review and send to Registrar for audit.
  • Liaison with Registrar. Update MS if there are findings.

Services:

  • Review current Management System (MS) documentation to identify any gaps.
  • Update MS to compliance with current ISO Standard.
  • Management Overview and Record-Keeping training
  • Review all records to verify compliance prior to sending to Registrar.
  • Perform internal audit and facilitate management review if not done and send to Registrar for audit.
  • Liaison with Registrar. Update MS if there are findings.

“I can’t begin to thank all of you for assisting us in developing our QMS system. Not only was it totally out of our price range, but to have the professional consulting services that supported us throughout the development process of tailoring it to our company. Not only for making this affordable for small businesses, but to do it in such a way that it makes sense.

I’m still blown away knowing that we not only have our ISO9001 but our AS9100! Now we can play/compete with the “big” boys!!!
