Let’s start with a briefing of the basics. The 8 foundational principles of ISO 9001:2015 are: Customer Focus, Leadership, Engagement of People, Process Approach, Improvement, Evidence based Decision Making, and Relationship Management.

The 7 main sections of the ISO 9001:2015 QMS Requirements are Organizational Context, Leadership, Planning, Support, Operation, Performance Evaluation, and Continual Improvement.

And this standard employs the Process Approach, which incorporates the PDCA Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle and Risk-based thinking.

What the heck does it all mean?

Several of these are obvious to Continuous Improvement and effective Communications.

The ISO 9001:2015 QMS is a framework for human behaviors and interactions. You might say that AI, Robotics, and other tech are minimizing this, but leveraging of human activities directs the entire business management system and each of the other system components.

Collaboration skills are needed to fulfill the human side of the system.

outcomes.

What’s more, these firms have established programs to help employees develop those attitudes. Francesca Gino, a Harvard Business School professor, has identified six types of training techniques used by such programs.

(2) practice empathy
(3) be comfortable giving and receiving feedback
(4) lead and follow
(5) speak with clarity and avoid abstractions, and
(6) have win-win interactions.
